FRIDAY JULY 4TH, 2025 BANDS

FRIDAY, JULY 4 – 8:00 PM – FREE ENTRY

8:00 PM – Oscar Hita Quartet

We kick off the night with Oscar Hita. Oscar is the festival’s personal bet on the talent and potential of the new generation of blues musicians in Barcelona.
We've watched him grow and evolve from his early years at the Barcelona Blues School to becoming one of the most promising young blues artists in the city – all thanks to his dedication and hard work.

The Oscar Hita Quartet is his own project: a brass band blending New Orleans, Blues, and Funk. He’s joined by top musicians: Tobi Till on sousaphone, Samuel Marthe on trombone, and Joseph Derteano on trumpet and vocals.

9:30 PM – Maria Carbonell Blues Mood

One of the most impactful bands to emerge in recent years, Maria Carbonell Blues Mood offers a refined tribute to classic African-American music:
Blues, Soul, and Rhythm and Blues, performed by a passionate, high-energy voice that commands the stage night after night.

Backed by an ensemble of seasoned R’n’B musicians, the band recently won the Barcelona Blues Society's band competition.

11:00 PM – Kid Carlos Band

We close Friday with Kid Carlos Band, led by Sevillian guitarist Kid Carlos. A solid blues-rock band that performs genre classics and original compositions,
powered by the experience and chemistry of its four members.

Since their debut in 2014, they’ve graced the stages of Spain’s top blues festivals. This show features Kid Carlos on guitar and vocals, Jose Mari Pardo on vocals and rhythm guitar,
Little Jordi on bass, and Stefano Di Rubbo on drums.

In 2018, they released *Cannonball*, a tribute to Texas guitarist Freddie King. In 2024 they represented Spain at the European Blues Challenge, and in 2025 released a new live album, *Live At Ruta 66*.
