Kenny Neal (USA)

Friday, July 13, 2018 - 20:45

One of the main representatives of Baton Rouge's Swamp Blues, Kenny Neal is a native bluesman from Louisiana who knows the venerable blues tradition of his region and is imaginative enough to lead him in new ways. Son of the legendary harmonica player Raful Neal, as a child he met Slim Harpo and Buddy Guy with whom he had been working as a bassist for years. With over 20 years of solid solo career, going through mythical labels like Alligator, he presents his last project, Bloodline, which was nominated for a 2017 Grammy for best contemporary blues album and also won two BMA 2017 (Blues Music Awards); one for the Best Contemporary Blues Album and the other for Best Contemporary Male Blues Artist. Kenny Neal is a true living legend and is more prepared than ever to offer the blues like nobody else can!
