The Castle of Torre Baró has always been an emblematic place for the neighbors of Nou Barris. Crowning the mountain range of Collserola that includes this part of the North part of Barcelona, has been a silent witness of the changes that the district has undergone. Forgotten for decades, it was recently restored coinciding with a growing interest to find an appropriate use to such a special environment.
For us it has always been an inspiration. That's why, when we founded the Capibola Blues Association in 2003, we had no doubt about which image could best define us: the silhouette of the Castle in the light of the moon. Cutting his figure on the horizon, he reminds us that we should not give up on our dreams... and that is why, a couple of years ago, we decided to establish it as the official site for the closing of the Festival. There we can, on Sunday 14th, enjoy the best music in an incomparable space with the vision of Barcelona at our feet to say goodbye to this great seventeenth edition!
