Extra, Extra!
The 23rd edition of the Barcelona Blues Festival is here!
Mark your calendars: it will take place on Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5, in the Pati de la Seu del Districte de Nou Barris.
(This is the Town Hall of the Nou Barris District in Barcelona. You can get there easily via the yellow metro line L4, station: Llucmajor.)
This year, after much effort, the festival will once again be completely free, reconnecting with the spirit of accessible culture that has defined us since 2003 — when that small miracle of neighborhood solidarity and artistic passion brought the very first Barcelona Blues Festival to life.
Today we kick off the 23rd BARCELONA BLUES FESTIVAL, a journey marked by a few blue notes, but also by unforgettable nights and, above all, the support of everyone who has believed in this project: artists, local businesses, associations, neighbors, and visitors.
Twenty-three editions later, the festival remains an irreverent and free-spirited initiative — untouched by official oversight but embraced by the heartbeat of the community. We’ve seen countless trends, administrations, and cultural movements come and go, but we’ve stayed true to our popular identity.
As we prepare to announce the bands that will shape this year’s lineup, we invite you — more than ever — to join us and enjoy it all.
Welcome to the XXIII Barcelona Blues Festival!
